I had just sat down in my garden to write my blog post for today when I heard this strange buzz noise and felt something land on my sunglasses. When I took my sunglasses off in panic I might add, I noticed a beautiful little lady bug taking a rest on the arm of my specks.
The topic I had planned to write about for my blog post today was about 'The meaning of life...love'. How funny that a little lady bug would land on me as I am about to start writing about love. Do you know that a lady bug signifies luck, love and the Irish believe, protection too.
Have you ever had those days when you question everything? You think 'what is the point in all this?' 'why do I work so hard?' 'what is the point in life itself?' We have all had our down days right? Where you just want to lay on the sofa and watch movies all day eating ice-cream. If you are like me, when you have those days you simply feel guilty for not being productive and achieving anything. Well let me tell you a little trick that I use to get myself out of that 'what's the point' mood... love.
The first thing to do when you wake up is to fill your heart with love. It can be love for yourself, love for others, love for the warmth of your bed, love for the day that you are about to embark on.. whatever! Take time for yourself in the morning. Make yourself your favourite breakfast, your favourite drink, talk to someone you love. When you fill your morning with love and gratitude you will naturally win your day.
I woke up this morning and decided to dedicated my day today by giving thanks to all that is happening in my life. As I sit here writing, I thinking about all of the times I have complained over the past few weeks about unimportant things. We all need to remember that the more we practice gratitude, change the complaining into problem solving and fill our energies with love the happier we will all be.
Try it tomorrow morning. Dedicate your day to something beautiful. If you feel overwhelmed or stressed at any stage throughout the day just remember the reason you got out of bed that morning and think of something or someone you love. I promise you, your 'what's the point' days will soon come to an end.
Sending love to you all on this sunny eve.
