Are you overwhelmed and have no time to relax? ...
Do you ever feel like you are being pulled in a million different directions? Do you ever feel that you have so much going on that you forget the reason behind why you are doing what you are doing, the reason behind life in general? That feeling can be so overwhelming. It can leave you feeling lost, confused and sometimes it can even make you feel lonely. How do we stop this from happening? How do we ensure that these feelings don’t appear in our daily life?
Just breathe. Just stop. Take time out for yourself and connect with your true authentic self. We are all working so hard day in day out that we forget to nourish the most important aspect to our being…our soul.
I feel so blessed to be able to say this but over the past few months my business has just boomed and I have never been so busy which I love! Every weekend and nearly every evening I have been finding myself doing something, meeting someone or going to this event or that event and as enjoyable as it is, it can also be exhausting. I am so thankful that no matter where I am or what situation that I am in that I can truly connect to that person or space. I can connect my mind and energy to what I am focusing on at that given time and not get distracted by my forever growing to-do list but filling your diary up to the full can definitely be overwhelming at times.
I had a huge realisation over the past few days and I am shocked at what I found. I have started working on the most incredible project that allows me to be creative as well as making me connect to my spirituality. On Wednesday, it was my first day working on this project. I woke with excitement, did my usual morning routine of listening to inspirational speakers, drinking a litre of water, stretching, showering and meditating but it is what happened during the day that really awakened my soul.
As I was working on a creative project, I had to keep drifting from my logical mind to my spiritual connection, meaning that all day, even though I was working on my laptop, I had to keep stopping to breathe, connect with my intuition to find the answers that I was looking for.
There is a famous saying “You should sit and meditate for 20 minutes every day unless you are busy, then you should meditate for an hour” – Zen proverb.
Let me tell you this, I literally meditated all day on Wednesday but I have NEVER BEEN SO PRODUCTIVE in my whole life. I accomplished more than I had even planned which is bazaar to me. I felt so ‘zen’ all day and just knew that I was on the right path in what I was working on and in life in general.
So, Thursday came and I was in and out of healing as well as developing exciting new projects and I just had to have another day like Wednesday. I decided to stop and meditate every 90 minutes for even ten minutes at a time. Taking time to connect with your breath and with your heart fills you with a sense of stillness, peace and clarity and actually gave me a sense of renewed energy every time I would stop.
I kid you not, try it. Try it for one day. Set numerous alarms on your phone for every 2 hours where you can stop and connect to your heart and soul, even for 10 minutes. Take time to express your gratitude live in a state of appreciation Oh! And I promise you, you will have the most productive day of your life.
